~A Note on our Dutch line they all carry the Vienna Gen. The Vienna gene is often also called the blue eyed gene. Vienna genotyped either as V (no vienna), or v (vienna). when one of our dutch dose not have Vienna it simply remains the same according to the genotype. If a rabbit has 1 vienna gene however, then you get either a vienna marks or a vienna carrier. A vienna carrier is simple a rabbit that carries the gene without showing up in the coat. Vienna as a gene is unique ... as the gene can partly show up even if the rabbit is only a carrier! Veinna marked rabbits can show in a large assortment of ways. Bright blur eyes, marbled eyes, random white markings called broken coat pattern, or all of at once. Then Vienna markings often are Dutch like in appearance however it is not part of the same gene. Now when you get a rabbit with 2 vienna genes, then they get the full affect of the gene which is a white rabbit with bright blue eyes. if a rabbit is vv, it dose not matter what the rest of the genotype it, it will cover up everything similar to albino yet not the same in that you have blues not red!
